How to WEAR A CLOTH PAD
Many of the features you’re familiar with in disposable pads — like wings, waterproof backing, high absorbency, and a range of sizes — are also found in reusable cloth pads. The difference lies in their versatility. Cloth pads come in a wider variety of shapes, sizes, and materials, offering a more comfortable and personalized fit for your body and flow.
There’s really no “wrong” way to wear a cloth pad — just be sure the absorbent side faces up and the waterproof backing faces down. Some pads are symmetrical, while others have a wider end on one side. You can wear them with whichever end facing forward feels most comfortable or offers the best coverage. You can also position them slightly forward or back in your underwear depending on where you tend to bleed more, ensuring the best protection and comfort for you.
Wings and Snaps
Just like disposables, cloth pads use wings to wrap around your underwear. But, instead of plastic and chemical adhesives, cloth pads use snaps to secure their wings in place.
No more glue
Soft, fuzzy, waterproof fabric backs each cloth pad. This fabric acts like Velcro, “sticking” itself to your underwear preventing slips and shifting.
Many Shapes and Sizes
With cloth pads you’re not just limited to the same five sizes and three shapes that you are with disposables. Wide flare ends, wide gussets, as long as you need lengths for every size, shape, and flow need.
Pro Tips
- Wear tight or snug fitting underwear. Underwear that is loose will not ensure the pad stays tightly against your body and can cause leaks.
- Make sure you know what side of the pad is the absorbent side and which is the waterproof backing. Always wear the absorbent side facing toward your body for maximum protection.
- Don’t be afraid to try out different sizes and shapes. Many people have suffered through periods without the right protection, causing stained clothes and uncomfortable experiences. Cloth pads offer so many size and shape solutions that ensure everyone has a safe and happy period.
